To improve security and combat crime, solar-powered smart CCTV surveillance posts are being set up in key areas by the Nasinu Town Council to enhance community safety and deter illegal activities.
In partnership with the Fiji Police Force, the Council says the cameras will help monitor illegal dumping, suspicious movements, unsafe shortcuts, and rising criminal activities, including drug-related offences and robberies.
The Council acknowledges residents who have allowed the installation of CCTV posts on their properties, describing their support as vital to improving safety across the municipality.
