Clark has already established herself as one of the WNBA’s biggest stars, while Mitchell has been putting together a historic scoring season of her own.
Mitchell has been particularly productive for Indiana this year.
She entered the final stretch of the regular season with 1,001 points, putting her within reach of A’ja Wilson’s single-season scoring record of 1,021 points.
She also broke Wilson’s WNBA record for consecutive games with at least 20 points earlier this season.
Those numbers are a big part of why Mitchell has entered the MVP discussion.
