Fine Gael under the leadership of the Tánaiste Simon Harris is going down the swanny at a hundred miles an hour.

Voters no longer know what the party stands for any more and since the departure of the former widely respected finance minister, Paschal Donohue, does not trust it with our money.

Fine Gael used to be a conservative right wing party tough on law and order, sensible on the economy, and liberal on social issues.

But it became the woke party under the leadership of Leo Varadker cheered on by Harris and Helen McEntee, the current Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence.

It tried to be all things to everyone and deserted its traditional conservative values much to the dismay of many long time party members which was why both Varadkar and Harris performed poorly in general elections unlike the previous incumbent Enda Kenny.

The party made a big mistake by not replacing Varadkar with Paschal Donohue and instead foolishly opted for a lightweight politician, with no proven track record as a Minister or legislator and a massive ego.

Party insiders tell me Harris is a complete control freak and is obsessed about self publicity.

He will do or say anything to get a soundbite and there is virtually little or no substance to his political beliefs aside from telling voters what they want to hear.

We have no idea what exactly his values are, what he stands for and believes in, and what his vision is for this country.

He is only leading Fine Gael, a mere two years yet he has become one of the most unpopular leaders in the country with a satisfactory rating at struggling 30pc in the polls.

This is testament to his incompetence and his ridiculous decision to appoint himself as Minister for Finance.

If you have no experience or track record in finance either workwise or academically, you don't appoint yourself to one of the most important jobs in government, looking after the country's purse strings.

An opinion poll in the Sunday Independent over the weekend revealed that most people do not believe Harris is qualified to do this job.

As one of my extremely successful businessmen younger brothers told me recently - you're good with words not numbers.

It is virtually impossible to get respect and admiration for taking a role that you have no business doing.

He proposed workers the sun, moon and stars in the run up to Budget 2027 but then delivered pittance in their pay checks.

There were far better people qualified for the finance job in his party but he put his own ego and ambition before the national interest.

During his short time as Taoiseach in the last Government Harris also did not make much of an impact.

To be fair maybe he didn't have enough time to bed in.

He is due to get the job again in a year's time, that is if his Fine Gael party don't decide to ditch him before then because of his bumbling incompetence.

The majority of people in Ireland are sick and tired of the woke agenda.

They want to see a party like Fine Gael go back to its conservative roots.

Why do you think that parties such as Aontu and Independent Ireland are doing so well in the polls? It is because they have a handle of what is happening out there, especially in rural Ireland which was traditionally Fine Gael's base.

They stand up for family values, farmers, contractors, people who run small businesses, and that those who work hard are not taxed to extinction.

They don't want Ireland overrun and ruined by immigration, they want to see the crucifix on the walls in our Christian schools, and they believe in two sexes - male and female.

Fine Gael will get together for their annual Ard Fheis this weekend.

There are already rumblings among the grassroots about Harris' leadership and there is a motion to move the party back to its original right wing values.

There is a chance for Simon Harris to actually listen to his party and learn.

He needs to stop trying to be a populist and to absolutely have a plan to change things for the better for this country.

Does he actually want to make a difference and be remembered for doing something....
