By A Correspondent|President Emmerson Mnangagwa has left Zimbabwe for New York, temporarily handing executive authority to his two deputies as he travels to attend the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Mnangagwa departed Harare on Friday evening and was seen off at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga, Cabinet ministers, senior Government officials and service chiefs.
His absence means Chiwenga will serve as Acting President from September 18 to 21, before Vice-President Kembo Mohadi takes over from September 22 until Mnangagwa returns.
