Apple is expected to unveil its first foldable phone later this year after companies like Samsung have led the way.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, released last year, rightly won rave reviews for its functional design and performance as a camera, creativity and productivity powerhouse.
But in 2026, Oppo is winning the accolades with its Find N6, a foldable phone with an incredible zero crease which has to be seen to be believed.
We’ve been putting it to the test for the past month, and it’s so far our favourite phone of 2026, alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Oppo Find N6 has the incredible Hasselblad camera system, generous 6000mAH battery, exceptional display and all the features you would expect with a flagship foldable phone.
As one leading reviewer described it, this is ‘peak foldable’ – arguably the best you can get.
Its $3299 price is also peak but when you look at the specs, screen innovation and durability, it will appeal to buyers with money to spare.
Since Samsung released its first folding phone in 2019, they have come a long way.
But until now, the crease in the middle, and the fragile nature of the internal screen and hinges, have been blockers for more widespread adoption.
“Foldables have always promised a bigger, more immersive smartphone experience, but the crease has been one of the biggest barriers to that promise being fully realised,” Michael Tran, managing director of Oppo Australia says.
“With Find N6, Oppo has solved one of the category’s most talked-about challenges with the world’s first Zero-Feel Crease.” Oppo has created a 3D liquid-printed titanium hinge and auto-smoothing glass to make a hinge that is barely visible.
The process begins with ultra-precise laser scanning — accurate to 0.3 micrometers — to model the surface of every single hinge.
A custom photosensitive polymer is then applied via high-resolution 3D printing.
The polymer consists of droplets as small as 5 picolitres, to precisely fill the uneven areas.
There are more than 20 precise cycles of 3D printing and solidification to create the end result.
The result is not only stunning but also said to be very durable.
Oppo says that after 600,000 folds, Find N6’s display remains exceptionally flat.

The result is the Find N6 handles sustained graphical performances better, without getting hot.
When it comes to multi-tasking, the Find N6 allows users to resize and run up....
