Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Rajesh Nagar said that schools must provide children opportunities beyond academics to nurture their creativity, confidence and overall personality.
Speech, painting and rangoli competitions, he said, provide an effective platform for children to express their ideas and broaden their outlook.
The Minister was addressing the district-level ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ programme organised by the Education Department under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Bhiwani on Friday.
He attended the programme as the Chief Guest and planted a sapling on the school premises to promote the message of environmental conservation.
Rajesh Nagar said that a series of inspirational and public welfare activities are being organised across the country under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
Educational institutions are also organising speech, painting and rangoli competitions to encourage students to articulate their vision for the country and contribute to the idea of a Viksit Bharat.
Referring to the country’s development, the Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh.
Narendra Modi, significant expansion has taken place in infrastructure, including national highways, railways, airports, universities and AIIMS.
He said the Prime Minister’s 25 years of public service have been marked by a sustained focus on development and public welfare.
During the programme, student Deeksha presented her vision of ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ and Viksit Bharat, while other students presented cultural performances.
The Minister also visited the selfie point set up at the venue and encouraged students to imbibe a spirit of patriotism.

*Proposal Prepared for Steel Silo Warehouses on 100 Acres in Ambala–Shahbad Belt- Chairman* *Work Accelerated to Create 3 Lakh MT Storage Capacity as Announced by CM* Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises Chairman Mohan Lal Kaushik, said that a proposal has been prepared to set up steel silo warehouses on 100 acres of land in the Ambala–Shahbad belt to provide grain storage facilities for farmers.
The proposal will be implemented soon.
Construction of a silo warehouse is also underway in Yamunanagar, and work is progressing at a fast pace.
Mohan Lal Kaushik said this while reviewing the progress of the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation.
He said that silos use modern technology for safe storage of foodgrains and the State Government is therefore laying special emphasis on developing such facilities to ensure that farmers’ produce can be safely stored for longer periods.
The Chairman said that Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, had announced in this year’s Budget the construction of warehouses with a storage capacity of about 3 lakh metric tonnes.
The Corporation is working expeditiously to implement the announcement.
He said that a plan has been prepared to construct new warehouses with a capacity of 2,30,508 MT at a cost of Rs.
180.05 crore and renovate warehouses with a capacity of 1,43,664 MT at a cost of Rs.
110.68 crore.
Thus, a total of Rs.
290.73 crore is being spent on construction of new warehouses and renovation of existing ones.
Kaushik directed officers to ensure fortnightly and monthly inspections of warehouses across the State so that foodgrains remain safe and not a single grain is damaged.
He further said that during the previous year, the Corporation procured 10.32 lakh MT of paddy at MSP through 86 mandis across the State.
At present, foodgrains are being stored at 124 locations with a total storage capacity of 28.30 lakh MT, including 19.15 lakh MT in Corporation warehouses and 5.45 lakh MT in private warehouses.

27 Crore on Yamunanagar–Radaur Road* Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister and Radaur MLA, Shyam Singh Rana, on Friday, inaugurated the construction and improvement work on the Yamunanagar–Radaur section of the Saharanpur–Kurukshetra Road.
The project, estimated to cost about Rs.
27 crore, is targeted to be completed by the Public Works Department (PWD) within 12 months.
The Cabinet Minister said the project includes re-carpeting and improvement of various stretches of the road and strengthening of the required road infrastructure.
Re-carpeting from Alipura village to Joriya Naka in Yamunanagar and construction of a divider along with re-carpeting at Damla village are also part of the project.
Shyam Singh Rana said the Yamunanagar–Radaur road is an important link that also provides connectivity towards the Uttar Pradesh border.
With increasing traffic, particularly the movement of heavy vehicles, improvement of the road had become necessary.
The upgraded road will facilitate better movement for residents of nearby villages, farmers, traders and daily commuters.
He directed PWD officers to strictly adhere to prescribed quality standards and complete the work within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring minimum inconvenience to traffic and residents.
The Minister said several road projects have recently been taken up to strengthen infrastructure in the Radaur Assembly constituency.
PWD has also started work on the nearly 17.5-km Saraswati Nagar–Radaur and Uncha Chandna–Radaur road at an estimated cost of about Rs.
Shyam Singh Rana said requirements related to roads, drinking water, electricity, irrigation and other basic amenities in the Radaur Assembly constituency are being taken up on priority.
*Officers Must Take Citizens’ Grievances Seriously- Rajesh Nagar* *Minister Chairs District Grievances Committee Meeting at Bhiwani* Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Rajesh Nagar, on Friday, chaired the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee at the local Panchayat Bhawan in Bhiwani district.
The Minister heard 13 complaints, of which nine were resolved on the spot.
Rajesh Nagar directed officers to take citizens’ grievances seriously and ensure prompt redressal of basic issues related to electricity, drinking water and other essential services.
In a case concerning a solar electricity bill, he directed that the amount be recovered from the electricity employee whose negligence had resulted in the bill.
While hearing the complaint of Mahavir, a resident of Seva Nagar, the Minister directed the concerned officers to increase the duration of drinking water supply.
In the complaint of Sukhbir Singh of New Housing Board, Sector-13, he asked Bhiwani MLA, Sh.
Ghanshyam Saraf, to mediate in the matter and directed the police to take necessary action regarding the CCTV cameras in the complainant’s street.
In Gopal Kumar’s electricity bill complaint, he directed that action be taken in accordance with the Supreme Court judgment.
Hearing the complaint of Jogender of Kuloth Kalan, Jhunjhunu district, the Minister directed the immediate installation of an electricity meter.
In Kunal’s complaint concerning ownership of land in Dhanana-II village, he directed that partition of the land be carried out as per rules.
In a solar system-related complaint of Kashmir Singh of Vidya Nagar, Sh.
Nagar directed the power corporation officials to recover the electricity bill amount from the employee responsible for negligence.
Hearing the complaint of Ramesh Kumar of Gujrani village regarding the death of his wife at a private hospital, the Minister directed the Superintendent of Police to ensure a thorough and prompt investigation into the matter.
In a waterlogging-related electricity connection case from Mitathal village, he directed the Tehsildar to conduct a site inspection along with the complainant and submit a report.
In a loan waiver-related complaint from Ajitpura village, the Minister issued directions to the concerned department regarding recovery.
In a complaint concerning irregularities in development works at Sirsi village, he directed that appropriate action be taken after receipt of the laboratory report on samples of construction material.
Hearing the complaint of Advocate Sandeep Kaushik, he directed the police to arrest the accused at the earliest and take action as per law.

829 Crore to be Spent on Development of Panchkula- CM Haryana Government Giving New Impetus to Urban Development; Cities to be Equipped with Modern Amenities Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, said that the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority is continuously working towards the balanced and comprehensive development of the Panchkula Metropolitan Area.
For the financial year 2026-27, a budget of Rs.
829.23 crore has been earmarked through the Authority for development works in Panchkula.
Of this, around Rs.
812.60 crore will be spent on capital works.
The budget includes around Rs.
449.23 crore for infrastructure development, Rs.
270.59 crore for operations and maintenance, and Rs.
41.83 crore for works related to the urban environment.
The Chief Minister said that planned urban development has an important role in realising the vision of ‘Viksit Haryana’.
Keeping in view the requirements of the State’s rapidly growing urban areas, long-term plans are being pursued while previously announced development works are being completed in a time-bound manner.
He said that the State Government’s objective is not merely to expand cities, but to provide citizens with better, safer, cleaner and modern urban amenities.
Along with strengthening urban infrastructure, the Government is laying special emphasis on drainage, sewerage, roads, green spaces, cleanliness and modern urban management.
*Old Drainage System to be Modernised* Nayab Singh Saini said that Panchkula’s nearly 45-year-old drainage system is being strengthened with modern technology to provide a permanent solution to the problem of waterlogging in urban areas.
Under a pilot project, rehabilitation of a 900-mm diameter stormwater drain from Geeta Chowk to Town Park has been successfully completed at a cost of around Rs.
5.50 crore using Machine Wound Spiral Lining technology.
Following this, work to strengthen the drainage system from Town Park to Singh Nala Choe has been initiated at a cost of around Rs.
38.87 crore.
