Wayne Rooney is nothing if not honest.
The former England captain and soccer legend delivered hilariously brutal takedowns during his time as a World Cup commentator, and the final on Sunday was no exception.
After the halftime show ― which included the likes of Shakira, BTS, Madonna, Burna Boy, Justin Bieber and, curiously enough, The Muppets ― Rooney was asked his thoughts.
And boy, did he deliver.
“I thought the best part was when it finished,” Rooney said matter-of-factly, as his fellow commentators appeared somewhat stunned.
“I like a lot of them artists, but I thought it was crap,” he added.
