A local dance school is celebrating a remarkable achievement after being selected to perform at the world-renowned Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
The talented young dancers from Sophie Louisa Theatre Dance School, based in Leadgate, Consett, successfully auditioned for the incredible opportunity and will now travel to Orlando in August to showcase their skills on one of the biggest stages in family entertainment.
For the children involved, the trip is much more than just a performance.
It represents months of dedication, hard work, rehearsals and commitment to dance.
Excitement has been building among the students and their families ever since the school received the news that they had been chosen.
Principal and founder Sophie Reddy said the achievement is a huge moment for the dance school and the wider community.
